Praise for 2 of Tami Slobodkin’s Students

Tami Slobodkin would like to share with some pride and a great deal of pleasure  the critiques given to two of her students who auditioned for a recital appearance in New York City.
Maya H. auditioned with Chopin Nocturne in Bb min. Her acceptance comment was “Your conveying of Chopin, and the idea of flexible rubato is palpable. Fantastic playing.  Overall, very beautiful and mature playing.”
Sofia S. who played the Chopin Nocturne in c minor post. also had positive comments and contained a delightful image that she’d like to share.  It read “Absolutely lovely playing in every way.  If I had to quibble I’d pick a few more flowers on the way – take a few more breaths or a few more risks.”  I loved that image and thought you all might too.
(Note:  This photo is not one of Tami’s students, but I felt it showed the dedication involved in auditions.)  Ellen Spergel
