News from the Studio of Esther Chung Marks

Congratulations to my students who took the Royal Conservatory of Music Piano Practical Exams this past December. They each received a detailed assessment and the following marks:
Jeremy Wang, age 7: 1st Class Honors with Distinction, Level 1; Lydia Xu, age 7: 1st Class Honors, Level 1Terrence Wang, age 9: 1st Class Honors, Level 5; Tiffany Ren, age 10: 1st Class Honors, Level 7.
These students prepared numerous technical, aural and reading skills for many months in addition to several pieces of repertoire, including etudes. I am very proud of them for working so hard! Bravo to all of you!

Congratulations also to the following students who were winners in the Concert Festival International Auditions held last weekend! They were selected from hundreds of students on all instruments who auditioned to perform in some of the best concert halls in New York this Spring:
Sophia Fang, age 9, Grand Prix Winner, Carnegie Hall Katherine Ranjbar, age 14, First Place Winner, Lincoln Center; Joanne Gosal, age 15, Second Place Winner, Symphony Space
I am very proud not only of their success, but also of their efforts and everything they learned in the process of preparing for their auditions. Congratulations again, Sophia, Katherine and Joanne!
